What is mure

MURE in perspective

Since its first version was issued, MURE has been widely diffused, and its use is becoming increasingly popular throughout European Energy Agencies and energy planning institutions, at both the national and local level. The inclusion of additional countries in the database is possible, with particular regard to EU neighbor countries or transition countries, as a means to ensure consistency and comparability of energy efficiency strategies and studies within wider regions of the world. To support the dissemination of MURE, the project team has undertaken a variety of initiatives, partially in common with the Odyssee Energy Efficiency Indicators project, including:

  • the publication of a periodic, dedicated newsletter
  • a series of presentation seminars and training sessions organised at national and local level
  • the establishment of a MURE website - www.mure2.com – (including free on-line access to the measure database) Specific agreements can further be made with interested users for the access to the full MURE evaluation tool (available on CD-ROM) and services, including customisation and the extension to new countries.
